Jaipur Metro Has Started It’s Journey

The pink city has finally welcomed metro. Boss minister vasundhara raje will flag off the first phase of jaipur metro. It is 9.7-km-long from mansarover to chandpole, will begin operations today. The best part is six out of 24 metro train operators, i.E. 25 per cent of metro drivers, are women!

Kusum kanwar, another female metro operator, was not even allowed to ride a two-wheeler when she was young. Since she has been hired as a driver on the metro, she hopes to break the stereotype.

Monika mittal, who operated jaipur metro's pre-launch run, said: "i have always heard people say women can't drive. By operating the metro, i wanted to shatter that image. That was the moving force behind me applying for the job.
